Escape Room Prop Design

Game Illustration of a Power Supply Cube

I shared on one of my prior blog posts how I take escape room prop concepts from my mind, into rough sketches, and then create a more refined illustration before construction of the prop or object can happen.

Our next Columbus escape room game will have a “power supply cube” that is needed to power up a rather large electrical device called “The Machine.” The story behind the device is that it began as specially developed technology of the ancients that a modern-day scientist eventually perfected. The special requirements? Not only must the power cube fit inside a receptacle, and transfer its power, it must glow - exude energy out of its windows even before it is found.

The concept drawing in this post is for you to glance at. The final build may appear differently, but this design will be used as a model as we bring to life the actual escape room prop. I thought you might want to take a peek at how cool this little component is in our coming escape room attraction. Yes, the next adventure is being built. - Louis
