In the Magician’s Secret, it’s the time of Vaudeville, and you’ve been invited to take place in a challenge set-up by the magician to test your group’s ability to work together. To prove yourselves, you must find hidden documents that reveal the secret to Thurston’s new levitation trick. Pass this test, and the lot of you get to join his traveling magic show troupe!

The Magician’s Secret is our first escape room offering in Columbus. It’s a fun, immersive, one-of-a-kind, custom-built adventure inspired by famous magician, Howard Thurston. The game is not about being locked in a room that must be escaped but escaping to a different place and time to have fun!

COLUMBUS HISTORY BEHIND THE GAME

Howard Thurston was born in Columbus, Ohio and truly was the world’s greatest magician of his day. Delighting audiences, Thurston was beloved by all, performing for royal families, celebrities, and presidents. Eight train cars had to be used to move his massive, traveling magic show from city to city! Interestingly, he also developed, improved, and patented many of his stage tricks and was collaborative with other magicians of the time. Upon his death in 1936, Howard Thurston was returned to our city and entombed at Green Lawn Abbey.
