Should Escape Rooms Show Interior Photos?

Should Escape Rooms Show Photos of the Interior of Their Games?

Yes. Yes. Yes.

When booking an escape room, there is nothing we hate more than searching for a cool game to play, and there isn’t one photo of the game’s interior set. The teaser photo looks great of a giant pyramid, but does the escape room look the same, or at least as good, as the marketing image? We have found that more often than not, the set doesn’t measure up.

Why Escape Rooms Should Show Actual Photos of Their Games
If a business has a product to sell, then you show it off with some great photography. If a business is not sharing pics of their escape room’s inside decor (keep in mind that you’re paying hard earned cash to play these games), then we have found that:

a) The owner might be lazy or too new to understand their folly.
b) The owner is hiding a not-so-good escape room game (we see this a lot) and is trying to lure customers into purchasing their offering sight-unseen.

Escape Room Owners: Get Your Games in Order, Please
When one escape room chooses to operate this way, it can make our industry appear untrustworthy. Sure, there are some escape game companies that do not show images of their sets because they say they do not want to give anything away. That’s kind of an old-school mentality. We have found that you just might receive more customers if they can see what they’re getting for their money. Plus it builds excitement to be teased by the looks of a good escape room!

Buyer, Just Be Wary
If you’ve played enough escape rooms, you’ll know what we’re talking about here. We’ve been creating our unique games since 2015. Check out some photos from the Magician’s Secret. (We’re happy to show you how fun our stuff is.)
